TexSPACE Today is pleased to welcome Tim Lee as its new Technical Editor, bringing direct industry experience in circular economy infrastructure, retail take-back, and the data systems that make circularity commercially viable.
Tim is Co-founder and CEO of Utilitarian, the platform that turns in-store product collection into a customer acquisition channel for retailers and brands. The platform captures structured customer and product data at the point of take-back, converting anonymous returns into verified feedstock for recyclers and CRM-ready intelligence for retailers. Utilitarian is live with sportswear retailers across the Netherlands and operates alongside leading textile recyclers and recovery partners across Europe.
Originally from Australia, Tim relocated to Europe to build the company where the structural drivers for circularity are most developed. His work focuses on a problem the textile and apparel industry has yet to solve at scale: moving end-of-life products out of the home and back into trusted, brand-verified recovery loops.
As Technical Editor at TexSPACE Today, Tim will contribute a bi-monthly column covering the operational realities of circularity, take-back economics, and the data and systems work that closes loops at commercial scale. His perspective will add depth to the platform’s coverage and to the conversations its readers are already having across the global textile and apparel community.
