CHT Group to showcase award-winning PIGMENTURA sustainable dyeing process at TIE-ITET Textile Innovation Expo 2026
The CHT Group will showcase PIGMENTURA, its award-winning pigment-based textile dyeing process, at the TIE-ITET Textile Innovation Expo 2026, scheduled for 12–14 November at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka. The technology offers textile manufacturers an alternative approach to conventional dyeing, with a focus on reducing water and energy consumption while maintaining textile quality and production efficiency.
Developed by the CHT Group, PIGMENTURA uses a pigment-based dyeing approach that eliminates the need for water in the soaping and rinsing stages. By removing these process requirements, the technology reduces resource consumption and the associated wastewater burden. According to CHT, the process also avoids the energy-intensive heating of water required in conventional soaping and rinsing operations.

The process is particularly relevant for manufacturers seeking to improve the environmental performance of textile dyeing without compromising product quality. CHT reports that PIGMENTURA delivers improved colour fastness and a softer fabric feel compared with conventional pigment dyeing. It also supports more efficient machine cleaning, shorter setup times and greater process reliability.
PIGMENTURA is suitable for different textile substrates, with particular suitability for cotton and cotton blends. CHT also highlights its application potential for complex fibre blends and recycled materials, including the possibility of processing different fibre compositions through a one-step dyeing process. These characteristics offer opportunities for manufacturers to explore more resource-efficient production routes using existing equipment.
The technology received the German Sustainability Award 2026 in the Products category, presented in Düsseldorf on 4 December 2025. The award recognised PIGMENTURA’s contribution to resource efficiency and sustainable transformation across the textile value chain. The jury highlighted its efficiency gains, scalability and potential to deliver sustainability improvements across international textile supply chains.
According to CHT, the process reduces energy consumption, CO₂ emissions, salt requirements and rinsing-water demand compared with conventional dyeing processes. It also significantly reduces the requirements for wastewater treatment. PIGMENTURA had previously received the German Federal Ecodesign Award in the Product category in 2024, recognising its environmental contribution through textile process development.
At the TIE-ITET Textile Innovation Expo 2026, visitors will have the opportunity to know more about PIGMENTURA and its potential applications in textile manufacturing. CHT’s participation will add to the expo’s focus on practical technologies addressing resource efficiency, sustainable processing and production competitiveness.
Organised around the evolving needs of the textile and apparel industry, TIE-ITET Textile Innovation Expo 2026 will bring together technology providers, textile manufacturers, industry professionals and other stakeholders. Its concurrent exhibitions cover Dyeing & Printing, Textile Materials, Garments Automation, and Green & SusTech, providing a platform to explore technologies and solutions across the textile value chain.
By bringing PIGMENTURA to the exhibition, CHT will highlight how changes in dyeing chemistry and process design can contribute to more efficient textile manufacturing and support the industry’s ongoing transition towards responsible resource management.
