Savio to showcase digital and AI solutions for sustainable winding and spinning at ITMA Asia
Savio will showcase innovative AI-powered winding and spinning technology at ITMA Asia 2025 in Singapore from October 28th to 31st, 2025. The main attraction of the exhibition is the three flagship machines, Proxima Smartconer, Lybra Smartspinner® and Phoenix Assembly Winder, which have been developed with AI, automation and digital integration in the field of spinning and winding technology in mind.
The Proxima Smartconer model has entered the winding world with options for fully automatic, manual feeding, cone-to-cone, Duo Lot and the use of large bobbins for carded wool. Savio Insight is a web-based monitoring and control system with enhancements such as AI-adaptive tension control, smart metering, intelligent bobbin flow management, and patented suction nozzles that improve yarn-end capture. This means that this machine has high production, low energy consumption, premium yarn quality, and data connectivity capabilities.
The Lybra Smartspinner®, designed for knitting, uses advanced air-jet spinning technology to produce soft, smooth yarns that are ideal for home textiles and sunshades. It’s key component is the Multi Blend System. This technology allows two separate slivers to be fed directly into the spinning chamber. The blend composition can be changed via the machine’s PC, which reduces the work on the preparation line and creates options for color and fiber matching. Air-jet spinning with improved pilling resistance also provides high production rates and low processing costs, while maintaining high yarn quality.
The Phoenix Assembly Winder with advanced digital features helps in bobbin preparation and package quality control. It can achieve yarn take-up speed of up to 1000 m/min and is suitable for all types of discontinuous fibers (cotton, wool, silk, linen, blends) from Ne 1 to Ne 140. Digital features like the Savio Multicone Digital Thread Guide reduce setup time and increase productivity.
