Textiles Recycling Expo USA Set for Charlotte, North Carolina – April 29-30, 2026
AMI is set to bring its successful Textiles Recycling Expo to the United States, with the event scheduled for April 29-30, 2026, at the Charlotte Convention Center in North Carolina. The expo will serve as a platform to tackle the growing issue of textile waste, focusing on the recycling of fabrics, clothing, footwear, fibers, and non-wovens.
The debut Textiles Recycling Expo, held in Brussels, Belgium in June 2025, set the stage for the US event. It attracted 126 exhibitors and over 3,300 visitors from 67 countries, marking a significant milestone in the textiles recycling market. Building on this success, the expo in Charlotte aims to meet the increasing demand for solutions to textile waste in the US.
Each year, Americans dispose of more than 10 million tons of textiles, yet only a small portion is recycled. As the fashion and waste management industries face mounting pressure to increase recycling rates, the expo aims to provide a venue for collaboration, innovation, and the exchange of knowledge to create a more sustainable future for the sector.
We are very excited to bring the Textiles Recycling Expo to the USA. We had discussions with numerous American attendees at our launch event in Europe and it’s clear that there’s a real need for a similar meeting place for the North American textiles recycling community to help foster dialogue and progress.
