Sulzer joins Spinnova’s ecosystem to accelerate sustainable fibre scale-up
Swiss industrial engineering leader Sulzer has officially joined the ecosystem of Finnish textile innovator Spinnova, marking a strategic step toward expanding the availability of SPINNOVA® fibre in the global textile market.
This collaboration strengthens Spinnova’s mission to scale its sustainable fibre technology by integrating Sulzer’s advanced engineering expertise into its development framework.
Strengthening a Proven Collaboration
The partnership builds on an already successful history between the two companies. Sulzer previously played a key role in the Woodspin demonstration factory, supporting Spinnova from the initial planning phase through to production ramp-up. In addition, Sulzer contributed to the development of Spinnova’s pilot environment for microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) production.
Beyond supplying machinery, the collaboration has been characterized by close co-development combining process engineering with material innovation.
