Slack & Parr to showcase advanced gear pumps at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025
Slack & Parr, a renowned precision gear metering specialist and a member of the British Textile Machinery Association (BTMA), will be presenting its latest range of large capacity gear pumps at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025. The event will be held in Singapore from October 28-31, at Hall 4, Stand D305.
The company’s gear pumps are essential for processing various polymers and fibres, ensuring uniformity and consistency in the production of high-quality yarns and textiles. These pumps are widely used across the manmade fibre market, including in the production of acrylic, polyester, nylon, spandex, and aramid.
Slack & Parr has long been a trusted name in the international technical textiles sector. Recently, the company has launched an upgraded range of IDY (Industrial Yarn) pumps. These pumps are specifically designed to handle high-viscosity polymers for industrial yarns, delivering robust performance even in high-pressure and high-temperature environments.
The development of these industrial yarn metering pumps was in collaboration with a major Japanese plant equipment manufacturer. The joint effort focused on refining the pumps’ design, materials, and overall performance. After a rigorous trial phase, Slack & Parr’s pumps were approved for use with the manufacturer’s equipment, ensuring compatibility with new and existing IDY machine installations worldwide.
At ITMA Asia, visitors will be able to explore the defining features of these pumps, including single and multi-outlet designs. These pumps come in capacities ranging from 5-50cc/rev, with some models capable of reaching 100cc/rev in the single-stream version. The pumps also offer a variety of sealing methods and drive options, making them adaptable to different application needs.
