SIMTA joins ITMF, strengthening India’s presence in global textile machinery

SIMTA, a textile machinery company based in Coimbatore, India, has become a corporate member of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF). The move reflects SIMTA’s growing engagement with the global textile industry and its long-term focus on international collaboration.
Over the past 20 years, SIMTA has built a strong reputation as a manufacturer of specialized machinery for textile production. The company first gained recognition as a reliable supplier of precision rollers, working closely with leading original equipment manufacturers. These components play a critical role in ensuring consistency and accuracy in textile processes.
As the company grew, SIMTA expanded its product range beyond rollers. Its portfolio now includes overhead cleaners, bobbin transport systems and other auxiliary equipment used across spinning and textile operations. Through steady development and close customer relationships, SIMTA has become a key player in this segment. A notable part of this progress has been its collaboration with German automation technology partner Jacobi, which has supported SIMTA’s focus on efficiency and automation.
ITMF welcomed SIMTA at a time when the role of textile machinery companies is becoming increasingly important across the value chain. Christian Schindler, director general of ITMF, highlighted the relevance of Indian machinery manufacturers and their contribution to addressing industry challenges such as labor availability and the growing need for digital solutions.
He noted that ITMF offers its members a global platform for information sharing, discussion and networking. Through access to industry statistics, reports, surveys, webinars and international events, members can stay closely connected to market developments and peer companies worldwide.
For SIMTA, joining ITMF aligns with its broader international growth plans. Senthil Kumar, executive director of SIMTA, described the membership as a natural step in the company’s expansion beyond domestic markets. He emphasized that participation in ITMF will allow SIMTA to better understand global trends, contribute to industry dialogue and refine its business strategy using reliable data and insights.
SIMTA’s entry into ITMF also signals its intention to strengthen its role as a technology and solutions provider for the global textile value chain. As Indian textile machinery manufacturers continue to gain visibility and capability, memberships like this highlight their increasing involvement in international industry platforms.
