Reju joins Recycling Europe Textiles to advance circularity
Reju has become the newest partner of Recycling Europe Textiles, strengthening collaboration to accelerate textile recycling and circularity across Europe.
Formerly known as EuRIC, Recycling Europe Textiles represents the interests of the European textile recycling and reuse industry. The organization works with policymakers and industry stakeholders to support practical solutions for a circular textile economy.
Reju specializes in recycling polyester textiles and post-consumer PET waste into new raw materials. The company works with engineers, scientists, and textile experts across Europe and North America to develop advanced textile recycling solutions.
Reju currently operates a pilot Regeneration Hub in Frankfurt, Germany. The company also plans industrial-scale facilities in Chemelot, the Netherlands, Rochester, New York, and Lacq, France.
Julia Ettinger, Secretary General of Recycling Europe, welcomed the partnership and said it demonstrates how industry collaboration can accelerate textile circularity while creating both environmental and economic value.
Patrik Frisk, CEO of Reju, said partnerships across the value chain are essential to building a truly circular ecosystem for textile recycling and scaling sustainable solutions for the industry.
Founded in 2019, Recycling Europe Textiles promotes the interests of textile recycling and reuse companies throughout Europe. The organization also provides recommendations on the implementation of the European Union’s textile strategy. Its work includes eco design requirements, recycled content proposals, and end-of-waste criteria for textiles.
Reju joins a network of industry partners that includes Coleo, ECOSERVICE, GftZ, Lenzing, and Öpula.
Recycling Europe represents the recycling industry across 24 EU and EFTA countries through a network of 84 national federations and companies.
