At the 2025 London Fashion Week, a new milestone in sustainable fashion will be reached as Circ®, a US-based textile recycling innovator, partners with renowned designer Patrick McDowell. For the first time, a recycled polyester filament made from polycotton waste will be showcased in McDowell’s Spring/Summer collection.
This collaboration marks the first-ever appearance of textile-to-textile recycled fiber from polycotton waste in such a prestigious event. The filament was produced by Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), the world’s largest producer of polyester fiber, using Circ®’s recycled materials. This partnership between Circ® and RIL blends cutting-edge recycling technology with large-scale industrial expertise, bringing circularity into the luxury fashion world.
The use of this advanced fabric on the runway is a clear sign that recycled materials can meet the high standards of fashion, proving that sustainability and luxury can go hand in hand. McDowell, known for his commitment to both elegance and environmental responsibility, is already making waves in the fashion industry. This marks his second collaboration with Circ®, following the creation of a custom gown for model and activist Munroe Bergdorf using Circ®’s lyocell fabric made from recycled textile waste.

The garments incorporating Circ®’s recycled polyester filament will make their debut on September 20th, 2025, marking a new chapter in fashion’s move toward a circular economy.
