Egypt’s KTE signs new deal with Saurer at ITMA Asia

KTE for Spinning and Weaving, a spinning mill based in Egypt, has signed a new contract with Saurer Group during ITMA Asia in Singapore. The agreement includes the purchase of Autospeed roving frames and Zinser ring-spinning machines, along with an automated roving bobbin transport system (BTS).
The deal was finalized at Saurer’s booth, where KTE representatives reviewed the ring-spinning system in action. The Zinser 51 machine, equipped with the FX Zpact compacting unit, was demonstrated using 100% cotton at Ne 40 count, running at 27,000 rpm.
Saurer’s team, including Sivakumar P, President of Global Sales for Ring Spinning, joined KTE’s Operations Manager Osama Koudsi and other stakeholders for the signing. The post announcing the partnership highlighted the long-standing relationship between the two companies and acknowledged support from ATAG Egy, Saurer’s agent in Egypt.
Visitors to ITMA Asia can find Saurer at booth C301 in Hall 3, where the company is showcasing its latest developments in ring spinning, rotor spinning, twisting, and automation.
This agreement reflects continued interest in high-speed, high-efficiency spinning solutions across key textile markets in Asia and the Middle East. KTE’s investment signals confidence in Saurer’s systems for scaling production while maintaining yarn quality.
