Jeanologia showcased software-driven product development at PI Apparel Europe

Jeanologia presented its latest digital solutions at PI Apparel Europe, held on March 30–31 in London. The event brought together technology providers and fashion brands, with a strong focus on improving product development through digital tools and data.

Faster development from design to production

One of the key highlights from Jeanologia’s showcase was Billy, an artificial intelligence system developed for denim design. The tool demonstrated how a simple garment image can be turned into a production-ready laser design within seconds.

By analyzing details such as contrasts, creases, and wear patterns, Billy converts visual input into precise laser files ready for manufacturing. Tasks that once required hours or even days can now be completed almost instantly, without manual retouching.

The system builds on Jeanologia’s long experience in laser technology and denim finishing. Its AI has been trained on thousands of real production designs developed over more than 25 years, helping ensure accuracy and consistency.

Alongside Billy, the company also showcased eDesigner, its digital platform for denim product development. The software allows designers to create and refine finishes in a fully virtual environment before moving to physical production.

With realistic simulations, users can preview washes, adjust effects, and validate results in real time. This reduces the need for physical samples and shortens development timelines. It also supports collaboration across teams and suppliers, helping align design intent with final output.

Turning sustainability into measurable data

Jeanologia also highlighted its EIM (Environmental Impact Measuring) platform, which is widely used to assess the environmental impact of garment finishing processes.

EIM provides data on water usage, energy consumption, chemical inputs, and worker impact. This allows brands and manufacturers to evaluate processes, compare results, and track improvements over time.

As expectations around transparency and compliance continue to grow, having measurable data is becoming essential for decision-making across the industry.

Carmen Silla, Marketing Director at Jeanologia, noted during the event that the industry is moving toward a model where creativity, efficiency, and sustainability are managed within the same workflow, supported by technology.

A more connected approach to fashion production

Jeanologia’s presentation at PI Apparel Europe reflected a broader shift in the fashion industry. Digital tools are playing a larger role not only in design, but also in how products are developed and evaluated.

By combining AI-based design systems with environmental measurement tools, the company demonstrated how brands can improve speed, accuracy, and transparency across their operations.

As the event concluded, it was clear that software and data are becoming central to how fashion companies approach product development helping reduce inefficiencies while keeping sustainability in focus.
