Gryning introduces an integrated AI platform aiming to eliminate overproduction in fashion

Overproduction costs the global fashion industry billions each year, and European manufacturers increasingly face pressure to adopt responsive, low-waste models. Against this backdrop, Swedish fashion technology firm Gryning has launched an AI-powered circular fashion platform designed to eliminate inefficiencies and bring transparency to every stage of product creation.

The system, described as a next-generation production network, integrates product development, dyeing, manufacturing, content creation, logistics, and post-purchase processes into one digital ecosystem. According to Gryning, the launch marks a crucial shift in Europe’s journey toward high-speed, low-waste, fully circular production models.

At the heart of the platform is Gryning PRODUCE, the company’s proprietary operating system. It directly links customer orders with production facilities and logistics partners located in Hungary, Portugal, Lithuania, Sweden, and Spain, enabling synchronized, real-time manufacturing. This approach aims to replace traditional bulk production that often leads to excess inventory, unsold stock, and capital-intensive planning.

Gryning CEO Siri Vikman stated that the platform represents the infrastructure the fashion industry has long needed. She said the goal is to ensure that “resources, creativity, people, and technology work in sync – circular by design and responsive by nature,” adding that the new system proves that “speed, circularity, and quality can finally exist in the same sentence.”

To support rapid design and market activation, Gryning has integrated advanced tools within the platform.

Gryning CREATE, an AI-assisted design engine, helps brands generate product concepts and full collections quickly. Meanwhile, Gryning STUDIO produces marketing imagery and video content within minutes, offering an automated solution for brands seeking to streamline costly campaign production.

This full-stack approach—where design, production, and marketing are interconnected—enables brands to move from concept to consumer-ready products without large upfront investments. According to Gryning, the model particularly benefits small and emerging designers who often struggle with high minimum order quantities and the risk of unsold inventory.

The company has also embedded circularity at the core of the system. The Digital Product Passport, Gryning CIRCULAR, traces every fabric roll, trim component, and production step. According to Gryning’s chief technology officer, Philip Arvidsson, this creates “a true bridge between the digital and physical worlds,” ensuring that each item remains in the circular loop—from its initial creation to post-production recycling.

For European manufacturers, the platform arrives at a time when regulatory requirements on transparency and circularity are accelerating. For Bangladesh’s apparel exporters closely linked to EU markets, innovations like Gryning’s model offer early indicators of the future expectations around traceability, low-waste production, and AI-enabled supply chain responsiveness.

By making its on-demand infrastructure accessible to brands, creators, and scale-level manufacturing partners, Gryning positions itself as a key enabler of Europe’s next phase of digital and circular transformation.
