Express Print boosts production with Mimaki Digital Printing System
Varna-based Bulgarian company Express Print has over a decade of experience in indoor graphics, outdoor signage and soft signage solutions. They have recently taken their production capabilities to a new level with the Mimaki digital printing system.
The company’s production floor is equipped with the latest technologies, including the UCJV330-160 UV-LED roll-to-roll printer for indoor and outdoor signage, the TxF300-75 DTF printer for custom apparel and promotional textiles, the JFX200-2513 EX and JFX500-2131 flatbed systems for high-quality rigid media, and the UJF-6042 MkII e and UJV55-320 for wide-format and object printing.
The addition of the UCJV330-160 has made the company’s sign graphics production much more dynamic and efficient. The machine can deliver high-resolution output in addition to roll-to-roll printing capabilities. This not only improves print quality but also reduces delivery times. It is a reliable solution for both indoor and outdoor visual communication.
On the other hand, the TxF300-75 provides the company with fast and accurate DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing. Through this, it is possible to produce small numbers of custom garments or on-demand promotional textiles in a very short time. In all, both complex fabric designs and urgent orders are being completed. Dimitar Lyubenov, (Production Manager at Express Print) said that their main goal is to “ensure the highest quality printing in the shortest possible time.” He added that the equipment used previously could not maintain the color consistency and perfect print quality that clients demanded. The biggest challenge was the lack of quality in sign graphics and visual communication in particular. As fast delivery is important, it is also essential for them to maintain the same quality in every print.

“We needed a solution that would be reliable even in continuous production,” he added. “Mimaki’s printers immediately met our expectations in terms of quality, speed, finishing capabilities and operational stability.” After reviewing all options, they ultimately chose Mimaki.
The JFX200-2513 EX and JFX500-2131 UV flatbed systems are crucial for Express Print in its custom merchandising work. These machines deliver high-quality prints on a variety of substrates, allowing the company to move forward with greater confidence in the production of customized panels, interior décor and large-format posters. Together, all the technologies have created an integrated and reliable Mimaki-based production ecosystem.
“The fully Mimaki-powered production floor has changed the way they work,” says Yordanov, senior manager at Express Print. “The same software, integrated color management, and unified workflows make it easy to switch from one job to another, and operator training is reduced. Color consistency is maintained from the first print to the last. Even large orders or last-minute urgent jobs can now be completed without any problems.”
Regional distributor Geko Comert, represented by Managing Director Lazar Panov, provided assistance in everything from model selection to installation and operator training. This support has made the entire system setup more planned and efficient. Nikolay Boev, founder and CEO of Express Print, says their guidance has been instrumental in getting the most out of the Mimaki system. He says the improved print quality is a major factor in attracting new clients.
Arjen Evertse says Express Print has shown how to achieve consistent growth across a wide range of jobs using a unified Mimaki lineup. He said that by operating UV-LED flatbed, DTF and direct-to-object technologies together within the same organization, they are able to work more efficiently. This also makes it easier to meet customer needs faster, and in-house production is more organized. With a fully integrated Mimaki-powered production ecosystem, Express Print now strengthens its competitive position in the Bulgarian printing and advertising sector.
