Dickies x Rassvet collaboration: a fresh take on workwear essentials

American label Dickies has teamed up with Rassvet, the skate brand founded by Tolya Titaev, for an exclusive eight-piece collection dropping this Friday. This collaboration sees Rassvet’s signature approach to design transform Dickies’ iconic workwear staples into elevated, cultural pieces.
Rassvet’s founder, Titaev, was clear from the beginning: he wanted to bring his own perspective to Dickies’ classic silhouettes. Inspired by the brand’s slogan, “We’re basic,” the collection features hand-painted and screen-printed pieces, including long work shorts, short-sleeve shirts, double-knee pants, and jackets. These garments, crafted in Amsterdam, offer a textural finish that adds a custom, one-of-a-kind feel to traditional workwear.
“I’ve been customizing my own clothes from quite a young age, just like a lot of skaters,” Titaev explains. “That’s also something I wanted people to feel when looking at this capsule: genuine customs, timeless fits.“
To bring a contemporary touch to the utilitarian-inspired collection, the campaign was shot by Paris-based photographer Pablo Escudero. Set at the iconic Paris restaurant Le Train Bleu, the cheeky campaign shows a couple having a formal dinner, ordering only fries, with a waiter serving ketchup as if it were fine wine. This playful narrative adds an extra layer of cultural commentary to the collaboration.

Founded in 2016, Rassvet (meaning “dawn” or “sunrise” in Russian) has built a reputation for its international skate team and collaborative design approach, drawing inspiration from cities like Paris, Los Angeles, New York, London, and Barcelona. The brand’s unique blend of skate culture and artistry resonates with a global community.
This collaboration not only redefines Dickies’ workwear essentials but also reflects Rassvet’s commitment to creating timeless, culturally relevant fashion. Be sure to check out the collection when it drops on Friday, bringing together classic American workwear and the creative spirit of skate culture.
