Turkuvaz improves baby diaper performance with ANDRITZ technology upgrade

Turkish company Turkuvaz has upgraded its baby diaper production lines at its Sakarya plant with new technology from the international technology group ANDRITZ. The upgrade introduces diversion channel technology into their absorbent cores, enhancing both the comfort and performance of their diapers.

This technology ensures that the diapers have better absorption and a more even distribution of moisture throughout the core. As a result, the wearability and fit for babies are improved, reducing the sagging effect that can sometimes occur in traditional diaper designs. Additionally, the new channels improve the diaper’s ability to manage rewet and acquisition time, leading to greater efficiency in absorbing liquids.

Sedat Mala, General Manager of Turkuvaz, shared that the upgrade was an important step in diversifying their product range. He emphasized the value of having a responsive, customized solutions provider like ANDRITZ to support their goals. Mala expressed confidence that this collaboration would help strengthen Turkuvaz’s position in the market and drive future growth.

With nine converting lines and one spunlace line already in operation from ANDRITZ, Turkuvaz continues to rely on the company’s advanced technology to meet their production needs. The new diversion channel technology further solidifies ANDRITZ’s role as a trusted partner for Turkuvaz’s growth and innovation in the baby diaper sector.
