Accelerating Circularity appoints Edd Denes as CEO

Accelerating Circularity has appointed Edd Denes as its new Chief Executive Officer. Denes previously served as the organization’s Board Treasurer since 2021 and now steps into the leadership role with the support of the board as the group continues its work to build circular textile systems worldwide.

Denes brings more than twenty years of experience across financial services, technology transformation, and international operations. Over the course of his career, he has led complex change programs, managed large portfolios, and coordinated teams working across multiple regions and time zones. His background in operational strategy and organizational development is expected to support the organization’s next phase of growth.

Before becoming CEO, Denes played an active role on the board of Accelerating Circularity. As Treasurer, he helped guide the organization during a period of expansion and increased industry collaboration. His move into the executive role reflects the board’s confidence in his leadership and his understanding of the partnerships required to scale textile-to-textile recycling.

Accelerating Circularity works with brands, manufacturers, collectors, sorters, recyclers, and technology providers to develop systems that enable textile-to-textile recycling at scale. Through collaborative programs, the organization connects stakeholders across the value chain and focuses on practical implementation that supports the transition toward circular textile production.

As CEO, Denes will oversee the organization’s efforts to strengthen partnerships and expand collaborative projects across the global textile industry.

I’m excited for the opportunity to play a bigger role in driving systemic change and creating impact that benefits our global community,” said Denes. “Having served on the board for the past five years, I have a real appreciation for the legacy of the organization and how a focused team working with strong partners across the industry has already achieved so much. I look forward to continuing this work and scaling our impact even further.”

Based in Europe, Denes brings an international perspective to the role. The organization will continue working with industry partners and funders to advance practical solutions that support circular textile systems worldwide.
