CHT Group named adidas adiFORMULATOR award champion for third consecutive year

The CHT Group has been named Champion of the adidas adiFORMULATOR Award for the third consecutive year, marking another milestone in its long-standing partnership with the global sportswear brand. The recognition highlights CHT’s consistent performance as a trusted supplier and its ongoing focus on responsible chemistry across the textile supply chain.

adidas grants the adiFORMULATOR Award to partners that demonstrate strong alignment with the brand’s requirements on product quality, transparency, and environmental responsibility. Receiving the top distinction for a third year reflects CHT’s steady progress rather than a one-time achievement.

Dr. Annegret Vester, Chief Sustainability Officer at CHT, said the award underlines the company’s long-term direction. She noted that the partnership with adidas supports continuous improvement in both products and processes, which is a core part of CHT’s sustainability strategy and its alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

From a commercial and regional perspective, the recognition also carries wider relevance for customers and partners. Nittima Kulmanoros from Brand and Retail Management said the achievement should encourage others in the textile industry to raise their own standards, adding that CHT’s regional teams are prepared to support customers worldwide.

Practical Solutions for More Responsible Production

CHT continues to develop textile solutions that help manufacturers reduce resource use while improving operational efficiency. Key examples include:

  • PIGMENTURA by CHT, which supports more efficient pigment dyeing processes
  • BeSo® EFFECTIVE (Best Solution), designed to lower water, energy, and chemical consumption while reducing production costs
  • ARRISTAN rAIR, which uses renewable and recycled raw materials to support circular production models

These solutions are already in use at production sites, helping mills meet brand requirements while managing cost and compliance pressures.

Product Stewardship at the Core

Alongside process solutions, CHT places strong emphasis on product stewardship. The company manages responsibility across the full life cycle of its chemical products, with a focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and reduced environmental impact.

Dr. Martin Gruber, Global Team Lead Standards and Labels Conformity, said product stewardship is embedded in daily operations. He explained that CHT aims not only to meet existing standards but also to support broader change across the textile sector.

This approach is reflected in several third-party recognitions and certifications, including:

  • ZDHC Level 3 certification for more than 2,200 products
  • Chem-MAP® approval as a ZDHC V3.1 Certifier for Levels 1 to 3
  • Status as a global system partner of bluesign® technologies
  • Founding membership in SCTI (Sustainable Chemistry for the Textile Industry) since 2020

With continued recognition from brands such as adidas, the CHT Group remains focused on supporting safer chemical management and more responsible textile production, reinforcing its role within a global supply chain under increasing environmental and regulatory scrutiny.
