MESDAN is set to participate in Textile Recycling Expo 2026, an international exhibition focused on reducing textile waste and advancing circularity across the textile value chain. The event will be held on 24–25 June 2026 in Brussels, Belgium, bringing together recyclers, textile manufacturers, technology providers, brands, and sustainability specialists from around the world.
At stand 2235, MESDAN will present two laboratory solutions designed to support textile recycling research, material assessment, and quality evaluation.
One of the highlights will be the company’s laboratory shredding machine, developed to simulate mechanical textile recycling on a small scale. The equipment enables researchers, educational institutions, and manufacturers to process limited quantities of textile waste and study the recycling behavior of different materials before scaling up to industrial production.

The machine can convert a wide range of textile products, including yarns, knitted fabrics, woven fabrics, unsold garments, and post-consumer clothing, back into fiber form. This allows users to evaluate fiber recovery potential and analyze the suitability of materials for further recycling processes.
As demand for recycled textile materials continues to grow, laboratory-scale assessment tools are becoming increasingly important for product development and circular textile initiatives. By replicating the core principles of industrial recycling equipment, the MESDAN shredding machine offers a practical way to test materials while minimizing resource consumption.
MESDAN will also showcase TENSOLAB 4, a tensile strength testing instrument designed for comprehensive fiber and material analysis. The system can evaluate tensile strength, elongation, and tenacity across different textile samples, including single fibers and fiber bundles.

Accurate testing of recycled fibers remains a key requirement for manufacturers seeking to maintain product quality and process consistency. Instruments such as TENSOLAB 4 help researchers and quality control teams understand how recycling processes affect fiber performance and mechanical properties.
Textile Recycling Expo 2026 is expected to serve as a meeting point for companies and organizations working to improve textile waste management and increase the use of recycled materials. The exhibition will feature technologies, machinery, and solutions covering collection, sorting, recycling, testing, and material recovery.
Through its participation, MESDAN aims to demonstrate how laboratory testing and material evaluation tools can support the development of more efficient and reliable textile recycling processes.
