eFK EvoSmart gains strong market traction after ITMA Asia debut

Since its first presentation at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025, the eFK EvoSmart texturing machine has seen strong demand from yarn producers across key markets. A total of 84 machines have already been sold, with installations confirmed in China, Turkey, and Indonesia. The early sales figures reflect growing interest in solutions that balance energy savings, stable quality, and lower operating effort.

Yarn manufacturers today are under pressure to reduce costs while maintaining consistent output. Energy use and maintenance time remain two of the most critical factors in texturing operations. The eFK EvoSmart addresses both areas with a design that focuses on efficiency and practical operation.

According to Dr. Wolfgang Ernst, Head of Sales at Barmag, energy efficiency and yarn quality are central to long-term competitiveness. He notes that the eFK EvoSmart combines intelligent system design with reduced maintenance needs, helping producers run reliable operations while keeping costs under control.

One of the key contributors to energy savings is the combination of EvoHeater heating technology and Smart Godets controlled by a single inverter. Together, these features can reduce energy consumption by up to 25 percent per kilogram of yarn, depending on the application. For producers operating at scale, this translates into measurable cost reductions over time.

Maintenance has also been simplified. The EvoHeater design makes cleaning easier and less time-consuming, even though the heater remains closed during operation. Maintenance intervals are doubled, and overall maintenance effort can be reduced by up to 50 percent. As a result, machines spend more time in production, improving plant availability and daily output.

The consistent yarn quality delivered by the eFK EvoSmart supports downstream processes such as weaving, knitting, and finishing. Stable performance helps reduce interruptions and supports smoother processing across the value chain.

With its focus on lower energy use, reduced maintenance, and dependable quality, the eFK EvoSmart is positioning itself as a practical choice for yarn producers planning for long-term efficiency. As Dr. Ernst summarizes, the machine helps customers lower operating costs while meeting future efficiency demands without compromising yarn quality.
