Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition returns with global sourcing focus in March 2026
The international textile industry will gather in Shanghai this March for one of the season’s largest sourcing platforms. Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition 2026 will run from 11 to 13 March at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, bringing together more than 3,000 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions.
Spread across seven halls, the fair will present a broad mix of suppliers covering suiting, shirting, functional wear, ladieswear, casualwear and more. For buyers, the event offers a practical way to compare materials, meet mills and manufacturers, and track emerging design directions for upcoming seasons.
International Hall highlights global diversity
The International Hall (5.1) remains a key attraction. Featured zones such as SalonEurope, Premium Wool Zone and Verve for Design regularly draw strong footfall. At the same time, country, region and group pavilions continue to play a central role in connecting buyers with specialised suppliers.
Group pavilions will include those organised by Ecocert, KTC and Lenzing. Country and region pavilions will represent Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Türkiye, reflecting a wide geographic spread across Asia and Europe.
Overseas exhibitors will also be present in Accessories Vision (1.2) and Beyond Denim (7.2), adding trims, design elements and denim-focused developments to the sourcing mix.
Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said the show is designed to serve buyers of all sizes. From high-volume yarn spinners seeking recycled inputs to boutique designers working with smaller minimum order quantities, the fair aims to offer a practical sourcing platform across the apparel textile spectrum.
This spring will also mark the debut of the Türkiye Pavilion at the Spring Edition, expanding the event’s European presence.
Lenzing, Ecocert and KTC pavilions draw industry interest
One of the larger group showcases will be the Lenzing Pavilion. A total of 23 downstream suppliers will demonstrate how regenerated cellulose fibres can be developed into a wide range of yarns, fabrics and finished products. These include silk-like womenswear materials, functional textiles and denim applications.
At the show, Lenzing will introduce TENCEL™ Lyocell – HV100 fibre to the Chinese market. The cotton-inspired fibre is designed with a raw texture suited to various end uses. The company will also launch a new campaign aimed at strengthening the TENCEL™ brand through consumer engagement and data-led storytelling.
The Ecocert Pavilion, organised by the French certification body Ecocert, will bring together textile partners focused on environmentally responsible production processes. Exhibits will include knitted fabrics, cashmere and other certified materials.
Meanwhile, the KTC Pavilion, led by the Korea Textile Center, will highlight cotton and polyester fabrics as well as pattern designs from Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, known for their established textile and apparel base.
Country pavilions reflect regional strengths
The Spring Edition will welcome the Türkiye Pavilion for the first time. Organised by the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters Association (İTHİB), it will feature woven fabrics, silk, jacquard, lace, embroidery and woven denim, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern styling.
The India Pavilion, organised by the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL), will return with a focus on cotton-based products. Other pavilion organisers include the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Japan Fashion Week Organization (JFW), Korea Fashion Textile Association (KFTA) and Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF).
Among the exhibitors, buyers can expect to see the Italy Pavilion’s Vitale Barberis Canonico, one of the most recognised wool mills globally. The Türkiye Pavilion will feature eco-fashion fabrics from Marsala Tekstil. At the India Pavilion, Vinod Denim will present cotton-LYCRA®, cotton-poly-LYCRA® and pure cotton fabrics.
Altogether, seven country and region pavilions will present their respective capabilities, offering buyers a focused way to explore specific markets within a single venue.
Trend Forum points to Spring Summer 2027 direction
Looking ahead to S/S 2027, the Intertextile Directions Trend Forum in the International Hall will spotlight textiles and accessories aligned with the PARADOX theme. The forum brings together materials from different regions to reflect the season’s design outlook.
Premium Wool Zone will feature European mills known for fine fabrics. Exhibitors include Scabal, recognised for English cloth for menswear; Fratelli Piacenza, makers of Italian worsted fabrics; and Clarenson, a French producer of tweed, bouclé and jacquard textiles.
Design studios at Verve for Design will present print and pattern concepts for future collections. Participating studios include Circleline Design Studio from the UK, Les Dessines from France and Le Studio Copenhagen from Denmark, which will make its Intertextile debut. Their work spans surface design for haute couture, commercial fashion and specialty segments.
SalonEurope will focus on performance and advanced materials. Exhibitors include Concordia Textiles of Belgium, a vertically integrated manufacturer of protective and lifestyle textiles, and Baur Vliesstoffe of Germany, supplier of lavalan® wool-based insulation made from virgin wool and corn-based PLA. New participants such as DB Acetate from Lithuania and LOXY from Norway will showcase acetate yarns, seam sealing and reflective tapes.
Part of a wider textile platform in Shanghai
The fair is co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry under CCPIT, and the China Textile Information Centre. It will take place alongside Yarn Expo Spring, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, CHIC and PH Value at the same venue, creating a broader sourcing week for the industry.
Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition 2026 will be held from 11 to 13 March at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
