ANDRITZ to showcase sustainable textile recycling and nonwoven innovations at ITMA ASIA 2025

International technology group ANDRITZ will present its most advanced and latest sustainable nonwovens and textile recycling at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025 (October 28–31, Singapore, Hall 2, Booth D106). Today’s world is advanced and technology based. Therefore, ANDRITZ will showcase MMCF (Man-Made Cellulosic Fiber) lines, automated textile sorting, bast fiber processing, needlepunch, airlay, and life-cycle service technologies with the aim of environmental friendliness and process efficiency. With this advanced technology, ANDRITZ will make the textile industry more sustainable.
ANDRITZ MMCF, i.e. eco friendly lyocell, is key to the growing demand for sustainable production. Everything is being provided, including turnkey engineering, pulp preparation, flash dryer and integration services. They are also offering audits and upgrades for existing plants aimed at producing sustainable fibers.
ANDRITZ currently provides solutions such as automated sorting, fiber preparation, and mechanical and chemical recycling, which play a role in reducing textile waste. This system developed jointly with Nouvelles Fibres Textiles and Pellenc ST & allows sorting of garments according to composition and color; automatic removal of hard parts such as buttons, zippers, etc.; preparation of fibers for recycling (mechanical, chemical or hybrid); supply for downstream use in spinning, nonwovens or composites; ensuring fiber identification, contamination and feedstock quality, automated sorting makes the recycling process fast and profitable.
To ensure fiber control and perfect overlap, ANDRITZ will showcase another new innovation, the X-Pro Crosslapper. This is a major advancement in the crosslapping process for needlepunch and spunlace lines. Its “X-Path” design ensures precise fiber control and eliminates distortion. It is fully compatible with ANDRITZ’s ProWin profile correction system, ensuring fast speed, productivity and quality.
The new neXloom needleloom will be introduced for synthetic leather, filtration, and automotive applications, aiming to drive innovation and customer-centric solutions in the nonwovens industry. It operates at speeds of 850–1200 rpm and a stroke range of 25–60 mm, providing robust and cost-effective performance and reducing maintenance. neXloom combines renowned ANDRITZ quality with features that simplify operations, such as automatic greasing and cooling systems.
ANDRITZ will showcase its important bast fiber (hemp, jute, hemp and kenaf) processing technology in the automotive, construction, insulation, geotextile and textile industries. This innovation enables bio-based, zero-waste fiber production, ensuring low energy consumption and compact layout. The company’s lines combine decortication and purification equipment with the Nexline airlay system, ensuring gentle fiber handling, compact footprint, and energy-efficient operation.
Automated sorting technology will be showcased at Textile Recycling Expo 2025. Textile waste is a major challenge worldwide, increasing pressure from regulators, brands and consumers. ANDRITZ presents its SYNERGY™ contract to ensure operational reliability, energy efficiency and long-term performance. In line with the end of LDC privileges and the stringent sustainability demands of international buyers (such as EU Ecodesign), Bangladesh’s RMG industry needs to transform from a low-cost product to a high-value sustainable model.
