Kornit Digital acquires PrintFactory to strengthen digital production ecosystem

Kornit Digital has announced its acquisition of PrintFactory, a Netherlands-based developer of cloud-native workflow and color management software. The move reflects Kornit’s ongoing effort to build a connected digital environment across the fashion and textile production chain.
The screen-printing segment remains one of the largest in apparel decoration, yet much of it still depends on manual and analog processes. Many producers continue to face challenges when shifting to digital production. These include managing complex workflows, ensuring consistent output, and connecting different technologies across production lines.
PrintFactory’s platform is designed to address these issues. It allows unified workflow control and stable color output across a wide range of devices and production setups. The system is already used in thousands of productions sites and supports more than 3,500 models of printing and cutting equipment. This reach gives Kornit an entry point into a large and still largely untapped segment.
For manufacturers operating at scale, consistency and efficiency are critical. PrintFactory’s software helps streamline the production process from file preparation to final output. This reduces waste and improves predictability, especially in environments where multiple technologies are used together. These gains are important for producers moving from smaller, craft-based setups to industrial digital manufacturing.
The acquisition also expands Kornit’s relationship with its customers. PrintFactory brings a user base of over 10,000 professionals, including several of Kornit’s existing clients. It also adds expertise in workflow automation and color management, areas that are becoming central to modern production planning.
Kornit is working toward a broader platform structure that connects demand, production, and fulfillment. Its KornitX system handles order management and global fulfillment. With PrintFactory, the company adds a stronger workflow layer that links directly to manufacturing operations. Combined with Kornit’s own printing technologies and consumables, this creates a more integrated production model.
Ronen Samuel, Chief Executive Officer of Kornit Digital said the acquisition is part of a wider effort to support the industry’s shift toward on-demand manufacturing. He emphasized the need to connect different stages of production into a single system.
Erik Strik, CEO of PrintFactory highlighted the opportunity to scale PrintFactory’s solutions through Kornit’s global presence. He noted that the partnership will help accelerate product development and expand its impact across different markets.
The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026. PrintFactory will continue operating from the Netherlands and maintain its open platform approach, serving customers across textile and non-textile applications. Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
