Cinte Techtextil China returns to Shanghai with focus on technical textiles and nonwovens
Cinte Techtextil China will bring together the global technical textiles and nonwovens industry from 1–3 September 2026 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in Shanghai. Jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd., the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and the China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA), the exhibition remains one of Asia’s key business platforms for industrial textile applications, manufacturing technologies, materials, and sourcing.
According to the organisers, the 2025 edition hosted more than 300 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions across 32,000 square metres of exhibition space and welcomed nearly 20,000 professional visits. Those figures underline continued demand for technical textiles despite slower growth in several manufacturing sectors.
The exhibition covers the entire technical textile value chain. Product categories include textile production technology, fibres and yarns, woven and knitted technical fabrics, nonwovens, coated textiles, composites, textile chemicals and dyes, Bondtec products, and performance apparel textiles. Exhibits are linked to major application areas such as transportation, medical and hygiene, filtration and environmental protection, safety and protective wear, construction, agriculture, packaging, sports, and industrial manufacturing.
The organiser has also confirmed a technical programme alongside the exhibition. Planned events include the China International Nonwovens Conference, AI-focused discussions on automated textile material inspection, Econogy Guided Tours, seminars on green nonwoven technologies, and industry forums covering sustainable development and application trends. These sessions are designed to connect manufacturers, researchers, technology suppliers, and end users working across industrial textile applications.
This year’s exhibition is expected to feature a stronger presence from Asia-Pacific suppliers. Recent announcements from the organisers indicate that exhibitors will showcase products for safety and protection, industrial applications, filtration, and other high-demand sectors. A new association zone is also planned to bring together international industry organisations and expand networking opportunities for visitors.
For manufacturers in Bangladesh, Cinte Techtextil China offers an opportunity beyond conventional apparel sourcing. The country’s textile and garment sector has gradually expanded into functional fabrics, protective clothing, medical textiles, geotextiles, and automotive-related materials. Access to specialised machinery, advanced fibres, chemicals, and testing technologies could support further diversification into higher-value technical textile segments.
Visitor registration for the 2026 edition is already open. Exhibitors can participate through standard booths or raw space options, while the exhibition schedule includes move-in on 30–31 August, the exhibition from 1–3 September, and move-out on 3 September 2026.
