ELİAR builds its place in India’s automation shift
Textile manufacturing is moving toward tighter control, better data use, and less reliance on manual intervention. In wet processing, where consistency is often hard to maintain, this shift is becoming more visible. ELİAR Elektronik is one of the companies working quietly in this space, focusing on practical systems that respond to real factory conditions.
With roots in R&D going back to 1984, ELİAR has developed a full range of automation tools for dyehouses. Its portfolio brings together controllers, dosing systems, sensors, and factory software under one structure. This matters because many mills still operate with disconnected systems, making it difficult to track performance or maintain consistency across batches.
India has been a key market in this journey. The company has been active there for more than 20 years, and its focus has narrowed over time to regions where production pressure is highest. Tirupur is one such place. Known for knitwear exports, the cluster runs on tight timelines and strict quality demands. ELİAR’s approach in the region has been hands-on—working directly with dyehouses to understand where delays, reprocessing, or material loss occur.
A large part of the company’s work centers on dosing. Handling dyes and chemicals manually often leads to variation and waste. Automated dosing systems help reduce this by controlling quantities with high accuracy. Over time, this also improves repeatability, which is critical for export-oriented production. Sensors add another layer. Real-time monitoring allows operators to see what is happening inside the process instead of relying only on experience. Temperature, flow, and chemical balance can be tracked continuously, which reduces guesswork and helps avoid errors before they escalate.

On the software side, ELİAR’s TELESKOP platform is moving beyond its earlier role as a production tracking system. It now brings together machine data and analytics to support decision-making. Instead of reacting after a fault occurs, factories can identify patterns, spot inefficiencies, and take action earlier. For many dyehouses, this shift from reactive to proactive operation is where real gains begin.
The company is also extending its reach beyond dyeing. New controller series are being applied to stenters, dryers, and finishing machines. This suggests a broader goal—to support the full production chain rather than a single process.
Another area gaining attention is traceability. With increasing pressure from global buyers and upcoming regulations in Europe, factories are expected to provide clear production data, including environmental impact. ELİAR’s Digital Factory concept aims to address this by linking data from raw material input to final shipment. This includes the ability to calculate carbon footprint based on actual production figures.
To support its development work, ELİAR has established an R&D presence in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The site allows closer collaboration with European partners and offers a space where customers can see systems running in a real environment.
For textile mills, adopting automation is rarely a one-time upgrade. It involves continuous adjustment, training, and support. ELİAR’s model reflects that reality, with a focus on long-term engagement rather than short installations.
As production volumes grow and compliance requirements tighten, the demand for integrated systems is likely to rise. Companies that can combine hardware, software, and on-ground support will have a stronger position in markets like India, where scale and complexity go hand in hand.
