VIATT 2027 strengthens Vietnam’s role in the global textile supply chain
Vietnam is strengthening its position as a key textile and apparel sourcing hub in Southeast Asia as manufacturers face growing pressure to improve productivity, traceability and environmental performance.
Against this backdrop, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will return to the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) from 24–26 February 2027. Organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), the event brings together businesses across the textile value chain, from fibres and yarns to fabrics, garments, machinery and technologies.
The 2026 edition attracted nearly 460 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions, along with more than 17,000 visits from 54 markets. More than 350 business matching meetings were also held, connecting exhibitors with buyers from over 20 countries and regions. The event’s international reach expanded with the first German Pavilion and Türkiye Zone, alongside returning groups from China, Europe, India, Japan and Taiwan.
Vietnam’s textile and garment industry is also undergoing a period of structural adjustment. In the first half of 2026, the sector generated more than USD 22 billion in exports, while targeting USD 48 billion for the full year. Yet more than 60% of production inputs are still imported, highlighting the need for stronger domestic sourcing and deeper regional supply-chain links.
VIATT 2027 will focus on three areas – Apparel Fabrics and Fashion, Home and Contract Textiles, and Technical Textiles and Technologies. This structure gives buyers access to materials, production equipment and manufacturing solutions in one place.
Sustainability will remain part of the programme through the Econogy Hub and Econogy Check, featuring sustainable fibres, recycled materials, circular solutions and traceability systems.
As global brands place greater emphasis on supply-chain transparency and ESG requirements, VIATT 2027 is positioned to support Vietnam’s move from volume-led production towards higher-value, technology-supported and more transparent textile manufacturing.
