From 21 to 24 April 2026, Techtextil 2026 returns to Messe Frankfurt in Frankfurt as the world’s leading trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens – a pivotal event that brings together the entire technical textile value chain under one roof. Held every two years, this edition is poised to be bigger and more dynamic than ever, cementing its role as a central meeting place for innovation, collaboration, and business growth in the textiles sector.
Over 1,500 exhibitors from 49 countries are slated to showcase their latest materials, fibers, components, and solutions, with more than 120 first-time exhibitors making their debut in Frankfurt. Represented through more than a dozen country pavilions including new showcases by the Netherlands and Tunisia, the event highlights the truly global makeup of the industry and the importance of international cooperation.
A defining feature of Techtextil 2026 is its expanded thematic structure. Hall 9.0, for instance, hosts the Performance Apparel Textiles zone, which has doubled in size to reflect surging interest from sectors such as protective wear, outdoor and sports apparel, and thermoregulation textiles. The “Performance Apparels on Stage” live presentation adds an experiential dimension by exhibiting functional materials and wearable innovations in action.
Sustainability remains at the heart of the fair with the Nature Performance initiative, spotlighting bio-based fibers, natural polymers, and eco-conscious materials. Exhibitors embracing sustainability display the dedicated label on their stands to help buyers and designers quickly identify suppliers aligned with environmental and regulatory demands.
For the first time, Textile Chemicals & Dyes has been introduced as a standalone product segment, uniting suppliers in one central space to encourage closer collaboration across textile finishing, coating, and dyeing innovations. This strategic placement adjacent to fiber and yarn exhibitors fosters productive dialogue between upstream and downstream partners.
In tandem with Techtextil, Texprocess 2026 runs on the same dates and site, showcasing the latest technologies in textile processing from automation and AI-driven systems to sewing, cutting, and finishing machinery. Together, the two fairs form a powerful textile innovation duo, bridging material development with production excellence and offering a complete industry perspective from raw inputs to finished products.
