eBay and Condé Nast join forces to make pre-loved fashion mainstream

eBay and Condé Nast have announced a new multi-year partnership that aims to put pre-loved and circular fashion at the center of global style conversations. Under this collaboration, eBay becomes Condé Nast’s official Pre-Loved Partner, connecting fashion heritage with a more sustainable shopping future.

The partnership will bring together Condé Nast’s cultural reach—spanning titles like Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Wired, Architectural Digest, Teen Vogue, and Glamour—with eBay’s 30 years of experience in pre-loved fashion. Together, they plan to inspire a new generation of shoppers across the US, UK, and Germany to see secondhand fashion as both stylish and sustainable.

This collaboration builds on previous joint projects that have already made waves in the fashion world. eBay and Condé Nast have teamed up for three consecutive Met Galas, Vogue World events in Paris, Hollywood, and London, and the first-ever Vogue Vintage Market. One standout moment was the 2023 eBay x Twiggy campaign for Vogue World London, which received the first Luxury and Lifestyle Cannes Lions award—recognition of how fashion storytelling can celebrate both creativity and sustainability.

Making pre-loved fashion aspirational

Alexis Hoopes, Vice President of Global Fashion at eBay, said the partnership is about reshaping how people view secondhand clothing. “By leveraging Condé Nast’s influence and eBay’s trusted marketplace, we are placing pre-loved fashion at the center of the fashion conversation, making it both sustainable and aspirational,” she shared.

Emily O’Hara, Vice President of Global Brand Marketing at eBay, added that pre-loved fashion is more than a shopping trend—it’s a lifestyle shift. “eBay offers an unmatched selection of pre-loved pieces with unique stories behind them. Condé Nast shares our passion for vintage and mindful fashion. Together, we’re promoting a more circular fashion future,” she said.

Doug Grinspan, Chief Business Officer of US Sales and Global Key Accounts at Condé Nast, echoed the enthusiasm. “We’re excited to expand our work with eBay and inspire people to see vintage and pre-loved fashion as a form of self-expression. This partnership helps us tell stories that honor fashion’s history while encouraging audiences to explore authenticated treasures on eBay,” he said.

The two companies plan to continue weaving pre-loved fashion into major cultural and editorial moments across Condé Nast’s platforms. They also intend to expand their efforts beyond fashion and luxury, signaling a shared goal to lead the way in sustainable style and trusted resale.

In a time when fashion consumers are becoming more mindful, this partnership between eBay and Condé Nast underscores one simple truth: great style doesn’t have to be brand new.
