The world-renowned luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has unveiled its Spring–Summer 2027 Men’s Pre-Collection. It highlights the relationship between humans and nature’s harsh weather. The collection has been designed with men traveling from one continent to another in mind, so that they can easily adapt to any changing weather and different dress codes.
Pharrell Williams has combined durability with traditional “dandy” style. Here, the culture of rainwear or rainwear is celebrated in a luxurious way. The core of this collection is the fusion of hiking traditions with workwear from the 1980s. The use of Trompe L’Oeil technology in the collection is particularly eye-catching. Inspired by 1980s workwear, coated canvas is paired with brown suede or leather panels for a striking “weathered” look, known as the Monogram Reporter motif.
A navy nylon puffer jacket features monogrammed leather panels on the shoulders. Meanwhile, a reversible leather gilet features a camel-colored coated canvas on one side and suede on the other.
A simple travel outfit is given a luxe touch, inspired by the theme of a weatherman reporting live in a storm. A durable puffer coat is made from mini-monogram jacquard suiting fabric instead of plain fabric. The traditional yellow fisherman’s raincoat or slicker is redesigned with shiny calfskin leather.
Prints and motifs also vary. A reversible sweater features a cable knit on one side and a monogram design on the other. A packable fleece blouson folds up and tucks into its front pocket. Luxury hoodies, T-shirts and polo shirts are made from cashmere wool.
The Jersey Trompe L’Oeil series, Surplus Brut denim bags, a three-dimensional raindrop-decorated Keepall 35 and an umbrella-shaped Monogram canvas bag are highlights of the collection. A silver-coated denim jacket is designed to bring out a rain-soaked glaze. The expensive cashmere suit is woven in a way that looks like a very tough denim fabric.
A blue denim jacket and LV trainers and LV Ranger shoes are sprayed with spongy rubber to create artificial “mud splashes”.
One of the highlights of the collection is a classic Monogram Keepall 35 bag, featuring a 3D printed glossy raindrop. In keeping with the Rain theme, a full umbrella-shaped Monogram canvas bag has been created.
In the accessories section, LV Lock sunglasses with a trunk lock design have been brought in a round square shape. LV Heritage sunglasses are made of crocodile leather. There is also a lightweight LV Crush beanie (hat) made of reverse jersey stitch.
Footwear includes the new LV Ranger hiking boots, LV Drop 300 sneakers, LV Titled and the LV Trainer, which returns in several new versions, where Monogram Reporter, Speedy Infinity and Mud Trompe L’Oeil designs are used. LV Ranger is a lightweight hiking or walking boot, which is made of suede, rubber and ripstop fabric. The LV Drop 300 is a sneaker made of fluffy mohair, mesh and suede.
Small charms of various shapes have been brought to hang from a silver chain. Louis Vuitton’s famous Louis Bear mascot is now seen wearing a tiny yellow raincoat, which can be hung as a bag charm.
