ESCP and WRAP announce new partnership to enhance ethical production standards

Ethical Supply Chain Program (ESCP) and Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) have entered into a new partnership focused on improving ethical practices in production facilities worldwide. This collaboration highlights a shared commitment to enhancing worker protection and supporting companies in achieving their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives.

Under this partnership, ESCP and WRAP will work together to help suppliers improve labor standards and create safe and fair working environments. WRAP’s expert team will assist ESCP and its members in enhancing their sourcing practices, particularly in countries such as India and Bangladesh.

As part of the initiative, WRAP will pilot the ESCP Worker Helpline. This co-branded helpline will be launched at 40 apparel factories across several countries, starting with Vietnam. It will provide workers with a confidential space to voice concerns and receive support, helping to further improve labor standards and workers’ rights.

Carmel Giblin, President & CEO of ESCP, commented:

Our partnership with WRAP represents a significant development in our mission to create a fair and just environment for workers everywhere. By collaborating with WRAP, we can amplify our efforts to promote responsible practices and support companies in their journey toward sustainability, no matter where they are located.

Carmel Giblin, President & CEO of ESCP

Avedis Seferian, President & CEO of WRAP, shared:

With a shared focus on safeguarding worker rights and promoting responsible manufacturing, WRAP and ESCP will combine their expertise to create responsible supply chains while reducing audit fatigue for factories. Together, we can help companies align their practices with ethical standards, ensuring workers are treated with dignity and respect, manufacturing facilities operate responsibly and efficiently, and brands run ethically and competitively.

Avedis Seferian, President & CEO of WRAP

The partnership also aims to develop new resources and training programs to help responsible companies meet their ESG goals. These initiatives will foster transparency and accountability in supply chains, setting a new benchmark for ethical production that benefits workers, businesses, and communities alike.
