Textiles Manufacturing Expo to debut in Charlotte in 2027 alongside Textiles Recycling Expo
AMI has announced the launch of the Textiles Manufacturing Expo, a new exhibition and conference dedicated to the technologies, materials and expertise shaping the future of textile manufacturing.
The inaugural event will take place on April 7–8, 2027, at the Charlotte Convention Center in North Carolina, alongside the established Textiles Recycling Expo USA.
The new event expands AMI’s presence in the textile sector following the success of its Textiles Recycling Expo in Brussels and the first Textiles Recycling Expo USA in Charlotte.
Bringing textile manufacturing and recycling together
The inaugural Textiles Recycling Expo USA, held in Charlotte in April 2026, attracted 1,858 visitors, 95 exhibitors and 52 expert speakers over two days.
Building on this response, AMI is introducing a dedicated platform for the manufacturing side of the textile value chain. The co-location of the two events is expected to create a broader meeting point for the industry, connecting textile manufacturing with recycling and circularity.
The combined platform will bring together manufacturers, technology providers, material suppliers, brands, designers, recyclers and other industry professionals.
According to Chrissy Winegarden, exhibition sales manager at AMI, the new expo will give suppliers of raw materials and production technologies an opportunity to engage directly with textile manufacturers and explore new applications.
“Those manufacturers already attend Textiles Recycling Expo USA in large numbers, so we have a ready-made audience looking for new solutions,” Winegarden said.
Focus on next-generation manufacturing technologies
The Textiles Manufacturing Expo will cover a broad range of technologies and services used across textile, fibre and yarn production.
Exhibitors are expected to include suppliers of:
- Textile manufacturing, finishing and printing machinery and equipment
- Fibres and yarns
- Dyes, chemicals and finishing solutions
- Testing, inspection and quality assurance services
- Automation, AI and smart manufacturing technologies
- Software and digital solutions
- Consultancy and R&D services
The event will also feature a dedicated conference theatre with keynote presentations, technical sessions and real-world case studies. This will provide an opportunity for industry professionals to explore both emerging technologies and practical approaches to improving textile production.
Charlotte selected as launch location
Charlotte offers a strong foundation for the new event due to its long-standing connection with the textile industry and its established manufacturing ecosystem.
The wider region remains home to textile innovators, research institutions, technology companies and manufacturers working on new approaches to textile production.
By launching the Textiles Manufacturing Expo in Charlotte, AMI aims to build on this existing industrial base while creating a platform for international companies to connect with the North American textile market.
