VIATT 2026 set to support Vietnam’s textile growth and industry transition

Vietnam’s textile and garment sector remains a key driver of national exports, with revenues projected to reach USD 46 billion in 2025, marking a 5.6 percent rise from 2024. As global demand shifts toward responsible production and smarter manufacturing, industry platforms are playing a larger role in helping companies adapt.

The Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) 2026, scheduled for 26–28 February in Ho Chi Minh City, is positioned as one of those platforms. The event will focus on practical steps toward digitalization and greener production across the textile value chain, while connecting suppliers, manufacturers, and buyers from major sourcing regions.

Organized by Messe Frankfurt and Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, the fair continues to expand its international reach in its third edition.

International participation across the full supply chain

VIATT 2026 will feature seven country and regional pavilions representing China, Germany, Europe, India, Japan, Taiwan, and Türkiye. Exhibitors will cover three core sectors:

This structure reflects how sourcing decisions are increasingly interconnected, from fibre selection to finishing and advanced material applications.

German Pavilion makes its debut

A new highlight for 2026 is the German Pavilion, organized by Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in cooperation with AUMA.
The pavilion will present engineering-driven solutions and certified production standards, giving regional buyers direct access to established European manufacturers.

Participating companies span several specialized fields:

Testing and certification expertise will also be represented, helping manufacturers align with international compliance requirements.

Strong Asian presence led by India Pavilion

VIATT continues to attract large participation from Asian suppliers, reinforcing Vietnam’s role as a manufacturing bridge within ASEAN supply chains.

The India Pavilion, organized by The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council, will bring 21 companies showcasing cotton textiles and related products. The pavilion will also highlight Kasturi Cotton, an initiative aimed at improving traceability, quality benchmarking, and global recognition of Indian cotton.

Industry discussions to address market pressures

Beyond the exhibition halls, VIATT’s fringe programme will host discussions on the issues shaping sourcing and production decisions in 2026.

Key sessions include:

These sessions aim to give companies clearer direction as regulations, cost pressures, and sustainability expectations reshape sourcing strategies.

A regional hub for partnerships and sourcing diversification

VIATT has steadily developed into a meeting point for suppliers looking to balance cost, compliance, and supply chain resilience. Vietnam’s combination of manufacturing capacity, trade agreements, and investment in modernisation makes it an attractive base for long-term textile production.

By bringing together machinery makers, material suppliers, certification bodies, and garment manufacturers in one place, the 2026 edition is expected to strengthen partnerships that extend well beyond the three-day event.
