Stefan Moll appointed new CEO of Mahlo GmbH & Co. KG

Mahlo GmbH & Co. KG, a global leader in measurement and control technology for web-shaped materials, has announced a change in its top management. As of January 1, 2026, Stefan Moll will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Rainer Mestermann, who is stepping down after 14 years at the helm as part of a planned succession process.

Mahlo owner Ralph Greenwood-Mahlo expressed strong confidence in the new appointment, stating that Stefan Moll is an excellent choice to lead the traditionally strong company into its next phase. He highlighted Moll’s expertise, fresh ideas, and new perspectives as key strengths that will support Mahlo’s continued development.

Stefan Moll brings many years of international management experience in the machinery and plant engineering sector. His background spans both large global corporations and well-established, medium-sized family businesses—an environment he believes aligns closely with Mahlo’s values. According to Moll, family-owned companies are characterized by long-term thinking, sustainable decision-making, and close, trust-based cooperation, all of which influenced his decision to join Mahlo.

Prior to this appointment, Moll served as Technical Managing Director at the Kiefel Group, a system supplier specializing in plastic, thermoforming, and welding technologies, headquartered in Freilassing. In this role, he was responsible for driving technical innovation, shaping the company’s digital strategy, and managing one of its globally active divisions.

Looking ahead, Moll sees Mahlo at a crucial point of transformation. Describing himself as an innovation-driven leader, he emphasized the importance of strategic alignment during this phase. His key objectives include strengthening Mahlo’s profitability, ensuring long-term competitiveness, and inspiring employees, customers, and shareholders with a clear and forward-looking strategy.

Stefan Moll takes over from Rainer Mestermann, who successfully led Mahlo for nearly 15 years and played a significant role in shaping the company’s growth and stability. With the leadership transition now in place, Mahlo aims to build on its strong foundations while continuing to innovate and adapt to future market demands.
