Soorty, Haelixa expand partnership to enhance supply chain transparency

Soorty, a global leader in sustainable denim, has expanded its partnership with Swiss traceability company Haelixa to bring greater transparency and proof of recycled fibre origin to the fashion industry. This collaboration supports growing demands for verified sourcing, accountability, and circular fashion solutions.

As part of Soorty’s SecondLife initiative — a recycled cotton program focused on reducing environmental impact and increasing supply chain visibility — the company now applies Haelixa’s DNA markers directly to post-consumer textile waste before it undergoes mechanical shredding. These non-toxic, liquid-based DNA tracers are designed to survive the full production process, including spinning, dyeing, and garment manufacturing.

This approach provides forensic-level traceability, allowing Soorty and its brand partners to authenticate fibre identity at every stage of production.

In today’s complex, global textile supply chains, trust depends on proven origin. Our partnership with Soorty shows how physical traceability builds confidence in circular claims and meets the rising demand for credible, transparent sourcing.

Backed by Haelixa’s PCR-based DNA tracking, this method goes beyond traditional, paper-based certifications. The markers remain stable through every manufacturing step, enabling brands to confidently communicate the origin and lifecycle of their recycled materials.

Soorty’s Eda Dikmen added, “Our long-standing partnership with Haelixa continues to advance Soorty’s commitment to circular fashion. By enabling reliable authentication and traceability throughout the lifecycle of the product — from our mills to the final garment — we’re solidifying our claims while empowering our brand partners with proof. This shared transparency fosters deeper trust and helps end customers make informed decisions.”

To support brand communication, Soorty’s clients can now feature a “Marked & Traced by Haelixa” label on finished garments. Each label includes a scannable QR code that links to a dedicated landing page showing verified information about the fibre’s origin, production journey, and sustainability credentials.

Key Benefits of the Soorty–Haelixa Partnership:

  • DNA-based fibre authentication throughout the full textile lifecycle
  • Proof of origin for recycled cotton used in Soorty’s SecondLife program
  • Real-time verification that survives spinning, dyeing, and garment production
  • Enhanced supply chain transparency for brands and consumers
  • QR-enabled garment labels for storytelling and traceability

This partnership reinforces both companies’ shared goal: to make sustainable fashion more credible, transparent, and trusted. With physical proof now embedded directly into fibres, brands have a powerful new tool to meet their circularity and due diligence targets — and to build stronger connections with conscious consumers.
