Nature Coatings & Coolcore® launch sustainable cooling fabrics

In today’s world, there is a great demand for environmentally friendly, sustainable materials, and the textile industry is undergoing radical changes to meet this demand. Nature Coatings and Coolcore® have collaborated to launch a new line of cooling fabrics.

BioBlack TX and Biomymetic Fiber Geometry™ create high-performance fabrics that don’t rely on chemical-heavy processes, but deliver sustainable coolness, superior dye uptake, and long-lasting durability.

BioBlack TX is a carbon-negative, non-toxic black pigment made from wood waste. It is manufactured by Nature Coatings and is widely used in the textile sector. BioBlack TX is designed as a replacement for petroleum-derived carbon black and is petrochemical-free.

Coolcore® is the global leader in chemical-free performance cooling fabrics. Their textiles can wick moisture and use evaporation technology to keep wearers cool. Biomimetic Fiber Geometry™ is a patented fiber structure developed by Colore®.

This innovative fabric is suitable for activewear and sportswear, workwear for hot environments, outdoor gear, military uniforms, and eco-conscious fashion brands. This innovation is currently addressing several challenges. It is helping to reduce the carbon footprint of textile production and contributing to reducing the release of microplastics and chemicals during washing.

It is an innovation that combines plant-based pigments with advanced fiber engineering. This cool fabric is safe for people and the planet, while delivering high performance and durability.
