Mesdan presents advanced testing solutions at ITMA Asia 2025

Mesdan will showcase a selection of its key laboratory equipment at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025, taking place in Singapore from 28 to 31 October. The company will exhibit within the Vandewiele Group’s 286 m² booth in Hall 4, stand A302.
As part of its portfolio, Mesdan is bringing four instruments that address essential testing needs for cotton, yarn, and fabrics:
- Contest-S – a fully automatic high-volume tester for cotton stickiness (honeydew/sugar content). The system not only detects and measures stickiness but also provides risk probability grading, helping spinners adjust blending and processing strategies. Recognised by ITMF–ICCTM, Contest-S supports applications from ginning and spinning mills to cotton trading, arbitration, and R&D labs.
- Autofil – an automatic yarn tensile strength tester with an integrated 24-position cop-changing system. It accommodates a wide range of yarns, including spun, continuous filaments, POY, spandex, and sewing threads. The unit supports major international testing standards (ISO, ASTM, JIS, BS, IWS, NEXT, M&S) through pre-loaded, interactive software.
- Nati Advanced – the newest version of Mesdan’s neps and trash indicator. It works both as a stand-alone unit for cotton and synthetics, and in integration with the Contest-F2 fibre tester. By providing clearer seed coat neps and trash data, it helps improve yarn quality, optimise carding and combing, and lower maintenance costs.
- Burstmatic 2 – a pneumatic bursting strength tester for woven and knitted fabrics, technical textiles, nonwovens, leather, paper, plastics, and packaging. Using laser measurement, it records specimen distension height before bursting, ensuring accurate evaluation of fatigue and resistance.
Alongside these testing instruments, Mesdan splicers will also be on display, installed on the Savio Proxima winder. The latest updates are designed to enhance durability of stressed mechanical parts and deliver consistent splice quality.
Mesdan’s presence at ITMA Asia 2025 underlines its continued role in delivering practical tools for quality control, efficiency, and reliability across the textile value chain.
