By 2035, nearly one in two new textile printing machines sold will be digital

The global textile printing machine market is moving through its biggest technology shift in decades. Digital’s share of unit shipments is set to rise from roughly a quarter in 2026 to over one-third by 2030, and to nearly half by 2035 — driven by single-pass digital presses and hybrid analog/digital machines. Analog screen printing keeps a cost edge only at the very highest production volumes.

Demand by End-Use Segment

Fashion and apparel remain the largest segment (45% of demand), followed by home textiles (20%), technical textiles (15%), sportswear (12%), and promotional/soft signage (8%). Digital adoption is fastest in promotional signage and sportswear, where speed and dye-sublimation performance matter most.

The largest single segment, propelled by fast-fashion cycles that have grown from a handful of collections a year to a dozen or more at leading retailers.
