Klarna and Poshmark partner to simplify resale fashion

Klarna and Poshmark have announced a new partnership aimed at making resale fashion faster, easier, and more rewarding—just in time for back-to-school shopping. Klarna, a global digital bank and flexible payment service, joins forces with Poshmark, one of the top second-hand clothing marketplaces, to help U.S. users earn money by reselling items they no longer need.

With this new feature, Klarna app users can now instantly list eligible purchases on Poshmark with one tap. Whether it’s last season’s sneakers or a backpack your child has outgrown, the integration makes listing seamless. Product details and images are automatically filled in, allowing users to create resale listings in seconds—no manual input required.

A recent Poshmark survey showed that 90% of users found this resale feature saved them time. More importantly, 78% said it encouraged them to sell something they wouldn’t have listed otherwise. As a bonus, first-time sellers using Klarna’s resale tool will receive $10 in Posh Credit.

This launch is especially timely. According to retail forecasts, the average U.S. household will spend $870 on back-to-school essentials this year. At the same time, resale fashion is growing fast, with the global second-hand fashion market projected to reach $521.5 billion by 2034. Environmental awareness and budget-conscious shopping habits are key factors behind this growth.

As families prepare for back-to-school, Klarna and Poshmark are making it easier than ever to unlock the value of items they no longer use.
