KARL MAYER focuses on customer-driven textile solutions at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025

Textile manufacturers are constantly asking themselves: how can efficiency be improved, how can productivity grow, and where are the next business opportunities? KARL MAYER is bringing clear answers to these questions at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025. Under the motto “WE WARP. WE KNIT. WE CARE.”, the company is presenting its latest solutions at a 360 m² booth (A301, Hall 5) at the Singapore EXPO.

KARL MAYER is concentrating its efforts on its core areas—warp knitting and warp preparation—while keeping customers at the center of every decision. “We are putting the customer at the center of all our decisions. We have to listen very carefully, take a close look and understand how we can help our customers,” says Karl J. Mayer, representative of the KARL MAYER Advisory Board and the Mayer family.

Fashion meets function – WE KNIT FASHION

Visitors can experience textiles as an expression of personality at the WE KNIT FASHION showcase. A versatile collection highlights comfort, style, and inspiration through new fabric solutions:

Two new machines take center stage here. The first is a next-generation two-bar tricot machine for elastic fabrics, designed to help customers improve margins under the theme “more machine for your money.” The second is a four-bar tricot machine tailored to price-sensitive markets in the region, matching fashion and apparel trends.

“We are proud to present to our trade fair visitors two brand new, high-performance tricot machines, developed to meet the fundamental requirements of the textile industry – with maximum productivity, the highest precision and uncompromising efficiency,” says Axel Wintermeyer, President of the Warp Knitting Business Unit at KARL MAYER.

Beyond fashion – WE CARE support

KARL MAYER’s motto extends beyond machines. WE CARE represents a commitment to ongoing customer support worldwide. Care Solutions cover training at the company’s Academy, consulting, and technical assistance. At Singapore, new developments in the CUSTOMER PORTAL and WEBSHOP are on display, strengthening digital support channels for customers.

Technical textiles with purpose – WE KNIT TECHNICAL TEXTILES

The booth also features textiles with life-saving and industrial applications. Hollow fibre mats knitted on weft insertion machines are used as the core of “artificial lungs” to oxygenate blood outside the body, a process that became essential during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Other applications include non-crimp fabrics and warp knits for construction—serving as plaster grids, coating carriers for roofing, and reinforcements in road construction. These materials improve efficiency while reducing environmental impact.

“In Singapore, we are demonstrating that the products of our machines open up interesting new avenues in some very specific areas or are more advantageous alternatives,” explains Hagen Lotzmann, President of the Technical Textiles Business Unit at KARL MAYER.

Efficiency in weaving – WE WARP FOR YOUR SUCCESS

In weaving preparation, KARL MAYER offers a complete portfolio that aims to cut costs while improving quality and energy efficiency.

“We have prepared a versatile media presentation of our wide-ranging product portfolio for ITMA Asia + CITME. The focus is on solutions that help our customers to be successful in today’s difficult conditions,” says Enzo Paoli, President of the Warp Preparation Business Unit at KARL MAYER.
