The India Denim Deal Hub has officially launched, marking an exciting collaborative effort to push for a circular future in India’s denim industry. This initiative is a joint project by the Global Alliance For Textile Sustainability Council (GATS), Enviu, and the Denim Deal, aimed at tackling some of the biggest challenges facing the denim sector.
As one of the largest denim producers in the world, India plays a critical role in the global textile industry. Yet, with this vast production comes the pressing need to address growing textile waste, improve material traceability, and establish systems that support recycling and reuse. The India Denim Deal Hub is set to provide the infrastructure and platform necessary to foster these changes.
The Hub will focus on:
- Facilitating closed-loop denim production
- Supporting recycling of pre- and post-consumer waste
- Bringing together stakeholders from across the denim value chain
- Building shared infrastructure for circular solutions
This initiative aims to unite brands, manufacturers, startups, recyclers, and policymakers to create a sustainable, circular future for denim in India. The India Denim Deal Hub is just the beginning of what is expected to be an ongoing collaborative effort in the country’s denim industry.
