INDA appoints Kevin Conroy as Senior Manager for government and regulatory Affairs

INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, has appointed Kevin Conroy as Senior Manager of Government and Regulatory Affairs. Conroy, an experienced policy expert, brings a wealth of knowledge in government, politics, and public service to his new role at INDA.

Before joining INDA, Conroy spent eight years serving on former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan’s staff. During his time with Hogan, he held senior positions, including Director, Chief of Staff, and Assistant Secretary of Agriculture for the State of Maryland.

INDA President Tony Fragnito expressed enthusiasm about Conroy’s appointment, stating,

His wealth of experience will expand our government and regulatory affairs impact at both state and federal levels, positioning INDA for more proactive advocacy for the nonwovens sector.

Conroy’s career began on Capitol Hill, where he worked in the office of Congressman Chris Shays and later for Congressman David Dreier and the House Rules Committee. He has also managed political campaigns at state and federal levels, developing successful strategies and coalitions in competitive races.

Wes Fisher, INDA’s Director of Government Affairs, added that Conroy’s expertise would help INDA navigate key issues in the industry, such as EPA rulemaking, PFAS regulations, and plastics-related policies.

With a background that spans legislative, executive, and electoral arenas, Conroy brings valuable insight into public policy, intergovernmental affairs, and political strategy. Based in the greater Washington, D.C. area, he will be a crucial asset to INDA’s efforts in shaping government and regulatory policies affecting the nonwovens industry.
