Gepa İplik earns Belleo certification for recycled rotor yarns

Gepa İplik San. Ve Tic. A.Ş., a young Turkish textile company founded in 2021, has received the Belleo Certification for its recycled rotor yarns produced on Saurer BD machines. The certification highlights both the company’s commitment to consistent quality and the proven reliability of the BD spinning technology.
Gepa currently employs 50 people and produces about 4,500 tonnes of recycled cotton and polyester yarn annually, with an average count of Ne 20. The yarns are used directly in the company’s knitting mill, which operates modern sock-knitting and texturing machines.
Turkey remains Gepa’s key market, but international demand for sustainable textile materials is rising quickly. Today, the company supplies well-known sock brands such as Milano and Aldano, becoming a trusted partner for manufacturers that value yarns with softness and steady quality—two traits that directly influence comfort and durability in finished socks.
“Our customers value the soft yarns from our BD rotor spinning machines for their end products because of the feel and material quality,” said Mill Manager Ibrahim Ozeren. “The Belleo certification is an important milestone for us on the road to greater transparency and circularity in the textile industry.”
Gepa also holds Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification from Textile Exchange, which ensures traceability of recycled materials through independent third-party checks. The Belleo certificate was presented to Mr. Ozeren at Gepa İplik by Saurer representatives Michael Nikolic and Nevzat Altug Kuzucu.
