Functional Fabric Fair returns to New York with focus on performance materials and sustainable sourcing

Functional Fabric Fair, powered by PERFORMANCE DAYS, will return to the Javits Center in New York City from July 7-9, 2026, bringing together professionals from the textile, footwear and apparel sectors to explore developments in performance materials, sourcing practices and sustainability.

The trade-exclusive event will feature a selected group of fabric mills and branded technology companies presenting materials and solutions for the performance apparel market. The exhibition is designed around a minimal-waste approach, using biodegradable, recycled and reusable materials throughout the show.

This year’s edition will open with a dedicated Day 0 Sustainability Workshop on July 7. The workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to discuss environmental challenges, sourcing requirements and practical approaches to building more responsible supply chains.

The exhibition and conference programme will continue on July 8 and 9, offering visitors access to supplier exhibits, expert-led discussions and networking opportunities. Topics are expected to cover material developments, performance requirements, sourcing trends and the growing role of sustainability across the textile and apparel value chain.

Functional Fabric Fair has become an important meeting point for brands, manufacturers and sourcing professionals seeking materials and partnerships that support the changing needs of the performance apparel market. By combining material showcases with educational sessions and industry dialogue, the event aims to encourage practical conversations around product development and responsible manufacturing.
