Expanding the circle of sustainability – Turkish textile leaders join TRUECYCLED

Three well-established Turkish companies—Ela İplik Tekstil Sanayi Tic. Ltd. Şti., Sarar Battaniye ve İplik San.Tic.Aş., and Kempaş İplik—have joined the TRUECYCLED community, an initiative led by Trützschler Group that promotes sustainable yarn production through textile waste recycling.

TRUECYCLED is not just a label but a shared effort to give discarded textile materials a second life. The goal is to turn waste into quality yarns while reducing the strain on natural resources and keeping production efficient. With these new members, the network grows in reach and influence.

Ela İplik Tekstil runs two production sites with a monthly capacity of 300–500 tons. The company specializes in polyester soft waste blends, mostly in 50/50 and 65/35 ratios, producing yarns from Ne 10 to Ne 36. These yarns are used in clothing staples such as T-shirts, underwear, and jogging pants.

Sarar Battaniye ve İplik produces around 2,000 tons each month. Its yarns range from Ne 2 to Ne 30 and include blends of cotton, polyester, acrylic, and viscose. With recycled fiber content reaching up to 80 percent, the company supplies yarns for home textiles, apparel, and durable furniture fabrics.

Each of these companies shows that recycling on an industrial scale can be practical and commercially sustainable. By joining TRUECYCLED, they confirm their role in building a textile sector that values both efficiency and responsibility.

As waste and resource challenges grow, the TRUECYCLED model provides a working example of how the industry can adapt. Every new partner makes the idea of a circular economy more achievable and more concrete.
