EuRIC rebrands as Recycling Europe to drive circular economy

The European Recycling Industries’ Confederation (EuRIC) has announced its rebranding as Recycling Europe, marking a step toward a stronger, unified presence for the recycling sector in Europe.

The rebrand comes at a time when Europe is facing trade tensions, raw material shortages, and mounting pressure to decarbonise industries. Recycling Europe aims to highlight the essential role recyclers play in supporting the EU’s climate goals, advancing circularity, and ensuring resource security.

“Recycling Europe embodies the evolution of the Confederation into a unified, forward-looking voice for recyclers across the continent,” said Julia Ettinger, Secretary General of the association. “While our name has changed, our mission remains the same: to ensure recyclers are recognised and empowered as indispensable partners in building Europe’s circular and resilient economy.”

The organisation will continue to represent recyclers across diverse streams, including metals, plastics, paper, textiles, tyres, and more. With its new identity, Recycling Europe seeks to raise visibility and strengthen influence both at the European and international levels.

The association also reiterated its call for a regulatory framework that enables open markets, supports investment, and ensures the resilience of European industry.

Recycling Europe represents 80 companies and national federations across 24 EU and EFTA countries. Its members work across a wide range of materials, turning waste into resources and contributing directly to Europe’s competitiveness and industrial sustainability.
