BTKG 2026 – Bangladesh’s biggest textile machinery expo

From April 29, Dhaka hosts the Bangladesh International Textile, Knitting and Garment Industry Exhibition – BTKG 2026 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB). The four-day show runs through May 2 and brings around 900 companies from 30 countries into 1,200 booths across 20,000 square metres and eight halls.

The event is jointly organised by the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) and Inforchain Digital Technology Co., Ltd. BKMEA’s direct involvement gives it weight as an industry-backed platform, not just a commercial trade fair.

What’s on the floor

The exhibition spans the full textile value chain – spinning, weaving, knitting, embroidery, dyeing, printing, cutting, sewing, and finishing. Key names include CTMTC, TAJIMA, and HAIJIA in spinning, embroidery, and weaving; PAI LUNG, Shima Seiki, CIXING, and BEWORTH in knitting; FONG’S and CANLAR in dyeing; MIMAKI and M&R in printing; and GROZ-BECKERT for industrial needles and textile components.

Shima Seiki is making its Bangladesh debut here, bringing its SDS-ONE APEX4 3D design system, a platform that replaces physical samples with digital prototypes, cutting development time and material waste.

Why it matters now

Bangladesh is the world’s second-largest apparel exporter, with garment exports topping USD 39 billion in FY2024–25. A new trade agreement with the US allowing certain textile products in duty-free adds fresh commercial momentum. For local factories, four days at BTKG can compress months of supplier research machinery running live, comparisons side by side, deals negotiated on the spot.

Beyond the floor

A seminar series runs alongside the exhibition, including a session on “Build Innovation Competitiveness for Reducing Cost and Increasing Value,” covering automation, digital production, and sustainable practices. On-site activities include “Halls Hunter” and a “Post & Pour” networking event.

The organisers have framed this edition around Textile 4.0 connected machinery, data-driven quality control, and software that ties design directly to production. The exhibitor mix, which includes 3D sampling systems and digital printing alongside conventional machinery, backs that up.
