ADAC expands design community with new studios and relocations

The Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC) is excited to announce the continued growth of its design community with the addition of 12 new design firms and two relocations to The Design Studios at ADAC. This expansion marks a significant milestone for ADAC, increasing its dedicated studio space to over 50,000 square feet, now housing more than 40 specialized workspaces for architects and interior designers.

The newly redeveloped wing, spanning 12,500 square feet on the second floor, features modern, light-filled studios designed to foster creativity and collaboration. The space is expected to be completed with bespoke buildouts and is set for a Grand Opening in early fall 2025.

Located near The Hungry Peach café, the new “242 Design Studios” offer an abundance of natural light, shared conference rooms, unisex bathrooms, a break room with a kitchenette, and thoughtfully designed common areas, all intended to provide a collaborative and elevated environment for design professionals.

Katie Miner, General Manager of ADAC, expressed excitement about the expansion:

We are beyond thrilled to welcome these talented designers and expand our community at ADAC. This expansion is not just about space, it’s about investing in creativity and connection while curating some of the best designers and architects in the region to call ADAC home base. The enthusiasm we’ve seen from the design community reinforces ADAC’s role as the region’s design epicenter.

This expansion goes beyond the added square footage, demonstrating ADAC’s ongoing commitment to being a central hub for design professionals in the Southeast. The tailored studios and design-driven campus environment help foster daily interaction, idea exchange, and creative collaboration, essential for today’s high-level designers, architects, and builders.
