For many textile manufacturers, automation is no longer limited to machine control. Dyehouses are now looking for practical systems that can improve Right-First-Time performance, reduce water consumption, and maintain consistent colour quality under tighter production timelines. With more than 30 years of experience in dyehouse automation, Logic Art has positioned itself as a solution-focused partner for textile mills across Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, and Indonesia. In this interview with Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman, Managing Director of Logic Art BD Ltd., and Robert Liu, Sales Representative of Logic Art Automation Co. Ltd., shared how the company approaches customised automation, integrated production management, and long-term support for Bangladesh’s growing textile industry.
TexSPACE Today: Logic Art has been in dyehouse automation for over 30 years. How does your approach differ from simply supplying equipment?
Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman: Logic Art has been working in dyehouse automation for more than 30 years, and what sets us apart is that we don’t just deliver a machine and walk away. We first evaluate what a dyehouse actually needs because requirements differ factory to factory and then we provide a tailor-made solution. Every customer gets a specific solution designed for them.
Our offering spans laboratory automation, dyehouse automation, and finishing automation, and all three are fully integrated with each other. That integration is critical, it allows manufacturers to manage and optimise the entire production process from a single, connected system.
We not only provide the machine, we also provide the solution for the customer.
TexSPACE Today: What are the most pressing challenges your customers are facing today, and how does your system address them?
Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman: Right-First-Time (RFT) rates are a major pain point right now. Buyers are demanding tighter colour quality while lead times keep shrinking. At the same time, environmental compliance and water consumption are under intense scrutiny. Our system is designed to address all of these simultaneously, it evaluates production performance and identifies the optimum operating conditions so that machines can run at their most efficient. The result is measurably improved RFT, reduced water consumption, and a more sustainable production process overall.
Any customer currently facing challenges in their dyehouse is welcome to reach out to us. We have a dedicated expert team that can evaluate the specific problem and provide a proper, practical solution.
Our system can evaluate production performance and provide the solution, so customers can run at optimum condition.
TexSPACE Today: Logic Art has a presence across several major textile markets. What brings you specifically to Bangladesh?
Robert Liu: Logic Art has a strong global network spanning Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and China which means we understand the unique challenges each market faces. In Bangladesh specifically, we see a market that is ambitious, growing, and increasingly under pressure to modernise.
The reality is that rising production costs and the heightened demand for colour consistency require a cost-effective and technically sound response. We believe we can deliver that. Our local support team, led by Dr. MD Arifur Rahman, brings deep on-the-ground experience and understands the needs of Bangladeshi manufacturers directly.
There are also many customers here who are ready to upgrade their existing production lines, and we see that as a genuine opportunity to grow together. Our goal is not just to sell a product, it’s to help customers achieve measurable, sustainable results that keep them competitive against other global textile hubs.
We hope to support the demand here in a sustainable way for the long term, together.
TexSPACE Today: What is Logic Art’s long-term vision for its role in Bangladesh’s textile sector?
Robert Liu: We want to help Bangladesh maintain and strengthen its competitiveness as a global textile hub. The industry here has enormous potential, but it needs to modernise and that means investing in automation systems that deliver real, measurable benefits rather than just incremental gains.
Our commitment is to be a long-term partner. We’re not here for a single sale, we’re here to stand together with our customers, help them upgrade where they need it most, and grow alongside them as the market evolves. That’s the relationship we’re building here in Bangladesh.
